Sky Sports Live Football TV Rights for the 2016/17 season
Sky Sports continues to be the biggest UK TV broadcaster of Live Football on TV. They have flagship rights to broadcast the biggest football competition in the world, the Barclays Premier League, where they can show 115 live matches (BT Sport has recently won the rights to show 38 matches).
Sky Sports has exlusive TV Rights to show Live Football League games, including 75 regular season matches (50 from the Championship and 25 from League One and Two) - they also have exclusive rights to broadcast every League Play Off match and Finals from Wembley. This deal runs until 2015.
Sky Sports has exclusive TV rights to broadcast La Liga on TV, which usually covers Barcelona and Real Madrid most weekends.
The Football League Cup, or the EFL Cup as it is known currently, is also exclusive to Sky Sports TV, with 15 matches per season including the semi-finals and League Cup Final from Wembley.
Live Scottish Premier League Football is broadcast on Sky Sports, with 30 live games per season until 2017. Scotland's Home Internationals are also available on Sky Sports exclusively, as well as live coverage of the Scottish Cup with 9 matches and the Scottish Cup Final.
Welsh International Football on TV is exclusive to Sky Sports, with both home and away ties being broadcast, as are Northern Ireland Football Internationals, IFA Premiership League matches and the Irish League Cup Final.
